Single Point Diamond Dresser

Diamond dressers are the ultimate tool in an engineers tool box when undertaking precision grinding operations, such as surface grinding and cylindrical grinding.

Dressing your grinding wheels will allow you to achieve a better finish and stock removal. There are a few ways which this can be done, which we are happy to discuss with you so please feel free to get in touch.

The size/quality, otherwise known as the carat, is also an important factor when choosing your diamond. We would always say, go with 1 carat and above but a 0.5 carat will be ample for any wheels up to 150mm/180mm, if price is a factor.

For any wheels above this we would recommend a 1 or 1.5 carat until you reach 350mm-400mm diameter. Then you should consider a 2 carat diamond. The width of your grinding wheel should also make you consider a higher carat if possible too.

A unique feature of our single point diamond dressers is that they can be re-set many times which improves the longevity and cost effectiveness of the tool. These can be done at a cost of 18.00 per tool. Please contact us for more information.

We can also offer a resetting service for diamonds we haven’t supplied – if the diamond has run its course it will be rendered as scrap and returned without charge (carriage charges may apply).

Along with single point diamond dressers, we can supply many other diamond of dressing diamonds, such as chisel / diaforms and even roller dressers. We can help design and/or work to customer drawings. Our technical representative is for site visits to offer support, advice and even product testing.
